Lenovo ThinkPad S440 Touch is an Ultrabook with Intel Haswell ULV processors, i3-4010U, i5-4200U, or i7-4500U. The screen diagonal size is 14.0-inch. It comes in HD+ resolution with responsive touch panel supporting 10-point multi-touch. Besides the standard HD Graphics 4400, you can choose AMD Radeon HD8670M with 2 GB dedicated memory. For internal storage, user will get up to 256 GB SSD. Maximum memory is 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM.

Measures at 22.8 mm thick and weight starting at 1.92 kg, ThinkPad S440 Touch chassis combines aluminum and magnesium for better durability, but keeps the device lightweight. It looks stylish with rounded corner design and slim bezel. The ThinkPad has a full-size, spill-resistant keyboard. On the center of keyboard, there's a TrackPoint as pointing device in addition to the buttonless TrackPad.

Ports on the Ultrabook are two USB 3.0 ports, one with always-on technology, an RJ45 port, an HDMI port, and a combo microphone/headphone jack. Lenovo also adds OneLink technology for S440 Touch. The stereo speakers deliver crisp and clear surround sound thanks to the use of Dolby Home Theater sound enhancement.

The standard 4-cell battery from Lenovo seems to provide long battery life - it's claimed to run up to 9 hours. RapidCharge technology allows 80% charging from 0% in just 45 minutes. The battery is not replacable with third party batteries.

As the ThinkPad is built for business, an integrated fingerpint reader will help to protect it from unwanted people to have access to the computer.
