While using in tablet mode, the device is powered by Intel Atom Z2580 processor at 2.0 GHz, with 64 GB of internal storage. In tablet mode, Transformer Book Trio can run Windows 8 or Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. User can switch the OS with a dedicated switch button.

In dekstop mode, Asus use the same concept as Transformer AIO PC, which provides more powerful processor inside the dock. While using as a desktop PC, Asus Transformer Book Trio is powered by 4th generation Intel Core i5/i7 processor. It features up to 750 GB HDD and a connector port to connect the device to a larger display. When the slate is attached to the dock, the battery inside the slate will automatically be recharged.
