The most interesting Asus products at Computex may be the Asus Transformer Book Trio. It's the first 3-in-1 device in the world with removable display, comes with two operating systems, Windows 8 and Android. With 3-in-1 concept, Asus Transformer Book Trio can be used in 3 modes: Ultrabook, desktop PC, and tablet PC.
In Ulrabook mode, Transformer Book Trio is a Windows 8 Ultrabook with full keyboard and Full HD touchscreen display (1920 x 1080 pixels). Interestingly, you can release the display and turn Transformer Book Trio as a tablet or attach it to PC Station dock for using the device as a desktop PC.
While using in tablet mode, the device is powered by Intel Atom Z2580 processor at 2.0 GHz, with 64 GB of internal storage. In tablet mode, Transformer Book Trio can run Windows 8 or Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. User can switch the OS with a dedicated switch button.
In dekstop mode, Asus use the same concept as Transformer AIO PC, which provides more powerful processor inside the dock. While using as a desktop PC, Asus Transformer Book Trio is powered by 4th generation Intel Core i5/i7 processor. It features up to 750 GB HDD and a connector port to connect the device to a larger display. When the slate is attached to the dock, the battery inside the slate will automatically be recharged.
No information about the price. Asus will start to sell Transformer Book Trio from Q3 2013.
