HP ProBook 440 G2 Specs

Designed for business, HP ProBook 440 G2 brings robust security features. Measures less than 1-inch, this new Probook comes with a 14” LED-backlit display; choose from HD anti-glare, HD 10-point multi-touch, or HD+ anti-glare. The touch display is resist against shatter, scratch, and smudge. There are various processor choices, all of them are latest generation ultra-low voltage processor from Intel with 2 cores. The options are Celeron 2957, Core i3-4005U, i3-4030U, i5-4210U, and i7-4510U. This laptop has only integrated graphics, HD Graphics 4400 for Core series processors and HD Graphics for the Celeron.

Storage options include a 5400 rpm SMART SATA HDD from 320 GB up to 1 TB, 750 GB 7200 rpm SMART SATA HDD, 500 GB 5400 rpm SMART SATA SSHD, 120 GB M.2 SSD, and 128 GB SSD. HP 3D DriveGuard can reduce shock suffered by the hard drive. Having two memory slots, Probook 440 G2 can have maximum memory of 16 GB, 8 GB on each slot. It has a place for 9.5 mm SATA optical drive for either DVD+/-RW SuperMulti or the one with Blu-ray ROM support. But, you can also choose not to include optical drive.

For typing, there's an HP spill-resistant keyboard with optional backlit keyboard. The touchpad which supports gesture is equipped with on/off button and LED indicator. This laptop's ports include VGA, HDMI 1.4a, dual USB 2.0, dual USB 2.0, headphone/microphone combo, and RJ-45. For information, the VGA supports up to 2048 x 1536 pixels, while the HDMI supports up to 1920 x 1200 pixels. A card reader slot is only compatible for SD, SDHC, and SDXC.

All ProBook 440 G2 models get Realtek 10/100/1000 Ethernet as standard features. For wireless connectivity, there are some options from Realtek 802.11 b/g/n 1x1 WLAN with optional Bluetooth, Broadcom 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2 WLAN with BT 4.0, and Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 or 7260AN with BT 4.0. For audio, there are stereo speakers enhanced with DTS Sound+. Dual-array microphone is available on models with optional webcam. For battery, it has either 4-cell 44 WHr Lithium-Ion or 4-cell 40 WHr Long Life Lithium-Ion, paired with 45W Smart AC Adapter.

As security is very important for a business laptop, this HP Probook packs many additional security features such as HP BIOS Protection, HP Client Security (Windows only), TPM 1.2 Embedded Security Chip, and HP Drive Encryption. Intel Identity Protection and HP Fingerprint reader are optional features. The weight is starting at 1.83 kg for non-touch models with SSD as storage drive and without ODD, while maximum weight is 2.43 kg  for touch models with HDD ans ODD.
