Toshiba Refreshes Satellite U and M Series With Haswell Processors, Coming In Q3 2013


The presence of 4th generation Intel Core processors sets a new standard for notebook. Manufacturers around the world now busy replacing old products with Haswell-powered, including well-known laptop maufacturer from Japan, Toshiba.


After Qosmio and some Satellite series laptops get Haswell processors, Toshiba plans to bring Satellite U and M series Ultrabooks with the latest Intel Core processors. Both will be available in 15.6-inch display, up to 16GB RAM, and up to 7 hours of battery life. DTS Studio Sound boosts the audio quality.

For Satellite U50t Ultrabok, Toshiba will inlcude 4th generation Intel Core processors with HD Graphics 4000. The Ultrabook will come in touchscreen and non-touchscreen versions, up to 1 TB HDD, and weight starting at 2.3kg.

The Satellite M series Ultrabook will be available as M50, M50D, and M50t, you can choose to use 4th gen Intel or latest AMD processors. For graphics card, consumers is free to choose between Intel HD Graphics 4400, NVIDIA GeForce GT740M with 2 GB dedicated VRAM, as well as Radeon HD graphics exclusive for AMD-powered machines.

Toshiba promises to presence the Ultrabooks some time in Q3 2013. Prices of those products haven't been revealed.
